Those in charge for the photo and statement upload within the framework of the website "I like Europe" are the Mercator GmbH foundation and the Robert Bosch Stiftung (Foundation) GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "Event Host").
Participation is possible only via the homepage of the campaign website, Ich-will-Europa.de.
An effective participation requires
- • that a photo is uploaded, on which it must be possible to identify the participant,
- • that a text or statement is uploaded that describes why the participant associates himself or herself with Europe,
- • that the participant specifies his / her name and e-mail address.
The photos referred to are portrait pictures. Each photo with the statement shall be subject to editorial scrutiny before it is published. The participant shall be informed via e-mail about the publication of his photo with the statement.
Each photo with the associated statement that is uploaded shall be available from the time that they are uploaded by the user within the framework of the website, Ich-will- Europa.de as well as – if the consent is given for the same – to the relevant social media channels of the campaign specifying the name of the participant. In the process, the participant is free to decide whether he or she specifies the first name and surname, first name and the first alphabet of the surname or merely the first name. The event host reserves the right to choose from the photos and text statements that have been uploaded.
All those who have completed 18 years of age at the time of participation are entitled to do so.
The participant is free to withdraw from participation at any time by sending a revocation message to [email protected]; in this case, the event host shall remove the photo and text of the participant from the website promptly and also delete his or her personal data without any delay.
Each participant grants the event host and the agency executing the campaign the unlimited usage right with respect to time, space and content to use the photo and text in the course of media and publicity work done by the even hosts in all media (particularly, print, TV, online and social media portals, such as, for example, Facebook, You-Tube, Twitter, blogs etc.), including the right to edit the photos and text statements uploaded.
Every participant assures that he or she has all rights to his or her own photo and text, the unrestricted rights of use of all parts of the photo, that the photo and text are not subject to the rights of any third party and also that no personal rights have been violated when presenting the persons. If one or more persons can be identified in the photo, those concerned must agree to the photo being published. The participant shall affirm the above in writing on request. Nevertheless, should any third parties enforce claims with respect to violation of their rights the participant shall indemnify the event host from all claims. Photos edited on the computer should not contain any image parts from photos or pictures protected by copyright.
The event host reserves the right to modify, terminate or suspend the campaign, either in part or in full, without prior intimation, if unforeseen circumstances arise. In particular, these circumstances include but are not limited to the occurrence of a computer virus, a program bug (or error), unauthorised intervention by a third party or any mechanical or technical problems that lie beyond the control and influence of the event host.
If a participant infringes on these terms and conditions for participation, or if he or she provides irrelevant information or if he or she makes use of impermissible resources or attempts to acquire any benefits in some other way by manipulation, the event host may exclude him or her from participation without having to furnish any reasons for this purpose.
By uploading the photo and statement within the context of the campaign, "Ich will Europa" on the corresponding website, the participant declares his acceptance of these terms and conditions for participation.
The legal process is ruled out.
Personal information in accordance with the Federal Data Protection Act (German Privacy Policy Act) is saved by the Mercator and the Robert Bosch foundations for the purposes necessary in connection with uploading the photos and statements and forwarded to an agency that is appointed by them for designing and managing the website. The information is not disclosed to other third parties and is deleted at the end of the campaign wherever it is available with the Mercator foundation, the Robert Bosch foundation and the agency. The data is handled by the event host confidentially in accordance with the provisions of the data protection (privacy policy) act.
